EARL Conference
EARL (The Enterprise Applications of the R and Python Language) is a cross-sector International Data Intelligence conference, showcasing how organisations are transforming decision-making, products, and services through advanced data capabilities.
With strong roots in R and Python, EARL 2026 will expand its focus to reflect the evolving landscape of data intelligence, whilst still maintaining a strong focus on R and Python. We invite abstracts across a broad range of languages, platforms, and techniques, for example, R, Python, SQL, Rust and modern AI/ML tooling, with a continued emphasis on real-world commercial impact.

AdventureX is the UK's only convention dedicated to narrative-driven gaming. Since 2011, AdventureX has been bringing together developers & gamers with a passion for interactive storytelling.
Despite being entirely run by volunteers for no profit, AdventureX has grown over the years, and had the honour of hosting exhibits, talks and panels featuring some of the most influential and engaging people working within the narrative games industry and beyond.
Encompassing everything from retro pixel-hunts to rich, branching narratives, AdventureX is a celebration of creativity, indie development and gaming culture.

I’ll be speaking at INFOSEK 2025 in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, presenting Cutting the Line . It’ll be taking a look at a new implementation of an age-old approach to network security. The talk examines physical disconnection as a cyber security strategy — from air gaps to modern zero-trust implementations — and how rethinking physical constraints can reshape the way we design secure network architectures.
SteelCon
At SteelCon 2025, I'll be leading a workshop titled "Do You Wanna Build a Think Tank?" This session is designed to guide participants through the process of creating collaborative groups that foster innovation and strategic thinking within the security community. We'll explore methods to establish effective think tanks, encouraging diverse perspectives and proactive problem-solving approaches.
SJUK Leaders in Security Conference
I’ll be speaking at the SJUK Leaders in Security Conference on 25th June, delivering a presentation on people-focused training in protective security. I’ll also be joining a panel discussion exploring how we can develop truly converged approaches to training across the security industry.
Young People's Skills Building Event
I’ll be running the Ransomware Game as a workshop at the Young People’s Skills Building Event this year. It’s a game I developed to help teach about the consequences of ransomware, understand risk, and most importantly understand prioritisation in business continuity and resilience.
BSides Leeds
At BSides Leeds 2025, I’ll be presenting The Sound of Secrets - exploring and experimenting with the sonification of data and whether the difference between plain text and encrypted information can be heard. It's a journey into sound, security, and the strange overlaps between human perception and information theory.
Richmond Cyber Security Forum
At this closed-door forum bringing together senior cybersecurity and IT leaders, I’ll be facilitating roundtable sessions exploring the practical realities of AI governance. Our discussion will cut through the noise surrounding artificial intelligence, addressing both the tangible risks and the often-overlooked opportunities it presents. Together, we’ll challenge sensational narratives and explore how strategic governance can unlock real value while maintaining control.
